The appointment system is messed up. I showed up once at the main bldg. They said I needed to go to another one. Next time, I scheduled and asked specifically where to go. Again they said the main building. Arrived and Van Waters said I was scheduled for the other one. I explained and he immediately changed me to stay in the main service area with him. The “quick” lube location is very slow. I was there for my 1st oil change & tire rotation at 4:45 for a 5pm appointment. I did not leave until 6:40pm. I was told it would be about 45 min. No one explained to me anything about the 20+ point inspection which I assume is part of the reason it took so long. Myself being in the customer service industry I feel like the kids working there should be better trained. Greet the customer, explain the service you will be providing, explain the inspection and what will be looked at, explain that the service tech will filling all fluids. Just explain to the customer everything that is involved so that when it takes over an hr & half to do something that the place down the street can do in 30 min the customer will feel like the service you provide is worth the extra time

I had a problem while on the road pulling our travel trailer and the dealership was able to take me in and diagnose the problem quickly. The trailer braking system was faulty in our 2020 GMC 3500 diesel truck. They got us back on the road within hours and the trailer braking system has been rock solid. Our service rep Avery did an excellent job in helping us and ensuring minimal down time!

The oil change and tire rotation were done quickly. My concern is attention to detail. The inspection report did not indicate any issues. However my TPMS light has been on for over a month. If the inspector missed such an obvious issue, that makes me question the quality of the work or if the inspection was done at all.

I was told when I called to schedule an appointment and when I arrived that I would be able to use my standard maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations) that I purchased from Hendrick Motors. I then waited nearly an hour past my appointment time for my Chevy Tahoe to be taken back for the oil change/tire rotation, and only during this time (90 minutes after my scheduled appt. time) did someone ask me for more information to validate the plan would cover the work being done. I was then told it did not and I would have to pay out of pocket. So, choosing to use someone more local to my home cost me $120 I cannot recoup and it still took nearly 3 hours door to door. Will never use Randy Marion again nor consider for future vehicle purchases.

Customer service at the front counter is always great here. No complaints. However, after getting my oil changed here, I noticed my truck smoking from under the hood the next day. Only to find the dip stick had not been fully seated back in the tube. My clean engine bay is now covered in oil, my driveway and the office parking lot both now have black oil stains in the concrete as well. Less than pleased with this... I responded to the automated text message that i received as a follow up to my visit, asking if there was anything else I needed, and haven't heard back from that.

The service is always exceptionally slow and expensive. I dropped my car off first thing in the morning for minor work and didn't hear back on status of car until late afternoon. Ended up keeping my car over night, which I said was ok, but it seems to happen every time I bring my car for any type of service, no matter how minor. I schedule early morning appointments, and drop off, because I want to get my car back by lunchtime. However, it seems like making early appointment and leaving just means my car gets looked at after everyone else's. I think I would be better off just sitting in waiting room for a few hours. Overall, communication is slow, work is slow, and service is expensive. I have gotten away from bringing my car to be serviced at dealership unless I have something that a dealer needs to specifically handle.

I have a 2025 Traverse High Country. When the vehicle was less than 2 months old & only 1700 miles on it, the transmission basically blew up. Randy Marion service department worked with me to get a loaner vehicle to drive ... nice vehicles, but not my vehicle. I realize that spare parts on a brand new 2025 model are not plentiful & readily available. It took almost five weeks to get the parts & complete the service. The dealership kept me informed on the progress the whole time. When I got the vehicle back, they had washed & detailed the vehicle inside & out. It looked fantastic.

Brooke was the best! We came on the lot having done a lot of research and knowing what we wanted. We actually did not plan to buy a car at Randy Marion that day and only drove there to look at a specific color of interior we couldn't find anywhere else. Brooke gave us honest insights about her experience with that color (it was not pretty and they got rid of it). Her honesty and transparency was refreshing! She didn't try to sell us something different but helped us find what we wanted, even offering new options I didn't know existed, like custom leatherwork to get the perfect interior we'd be happy with! She worked quickly, knew her stuff, and provided us with a no haggle experience. The dealership was offering a great cash back offer, gave us a fair deal for our trade in and we were now looking at a vehicle that would be the perfect mix of options AND a price we could live with. We bought the vehicle on the spot and could not be happier with our entire experience at the Randy Marion dealership. I would definitely go out of my way again to do business with this dealership vs. my local dealership (who still has not called me back 2 weeks later even though I was ready to buy a 4th new car from them)!

First time radio was changed to the service individuals station and grease on the passenger seat. So many issues with this oil service for my 23 Corvette Z51 on June 17th. 1) I scheduled through customer, requesting a Corvette technician. When I arrived at the dealership for my scheduled appointment, the service advisor Van said the appointment failed to list that Corvette technician was requested and one was not available. I rescheduled with service advisor Van for the next week. 2) Upon arrival for my rescheduled appointment, I asked service advisor if it was assigned to a Corvette technician. I was told yes. 3) When the work was complete, the car was pulled inside the service bay. I inspected and noticed significant gray/green dust on the side of the car near engine compartment. It was clear that a Corvette technician did not work on my car. A Corvette technician would not have placed a dirty mat/towel/shirt on the car. I verified that the work was assigned to someone else, and was to be supervised by the Corvette technician. Clearly, it didn’t happen. I was told that the Corvette technician was working on two other repairs. I should have been given the opportunity to reschedule, which I would have done. Clearly, a non-Corvette technician doesn’t have the same regard for the car. I was offered a free detail, which I declined and a $50 discount which I appreciated. 4) I also noticed a new tiny dent and scratch. Given that my car came back with dust and grime, I felt it possible that the dent and scratch happened during service. I requested that staff review all the video cameras to determine if Randy Marion staff caused the dent/scratch. I was shown the video of the car leaving the service bay and being parked outside, but not when it was being serviced. I escalated to the service manager who committed to reviewing and giving me status by 6/18. Two days later, I’ve not heard from her. I plan to follow up to learn outcome of video review.

My experience has been horrible. I have been lied to about stuff needing to be done to my truck that don’t need done. My truck is now in the shop for the 4th time due to a valve body. I was told to come get my truck Friday evening but the mechanic wasn’t able to test drive it because it was overheating. Well when I got in the truck I drove it till I had to turn around take it back because the transmission was not fixed. The truck not once overheated on me after sitting in traffic, driving down the interstate and back, then even letting it set there for 30 minutes running why I got my stuff back out of it. I have been told my belts was shredded that I needed new belts when not one of my belts are shredded. I could keep going but I’m not going to at this point I’m just fed up with it all.

I went for my first oil change and tire rotation. I found out there was not a hub lock in my new car so they had to use a master. The service rep at the desk told me they would order me one since I should have had it and he would deliver it to my home the next day. He never came and I still don't have the Hub Lock. While there they were also supposed to change the clear film in all handles and on the door edges since they were peeling and scratched when we purchased the car. This is how the visit went; 1. No hub lock and not delivery as promised 2. Was told car was done and when I went to the car my glove box was on the floor to they took it back in 3. Was told the car was done and when I went to the car I notices the scratch guards were not replaced 4. I was told the car was done once again and when I went to the car, only the driver handle guard as replaced. 5. They took the car back AGAIN and FINALLY replaced all the scratch guards and door protectors. While your service representatives were very nice, the amount of time I spent there due to the service itself was absolutely terrible. I would really have to think twice about purchasing and service with Randy Marion in the future. It is such a shame.

Before the appointment, I emailed bdc@randymarion.com on June 18 to request an additional inspection. I never received a response. During the service, I texted Rylan to check the status of my vehicle and never got a reply. When I arrived at your 220 W Plaza Dr location at the scheduled time of 11:00 AM, I was redirected to the Quick Lube location without any prior notice. After waiting 45 minutes, I asked the front desk for an update and was told I’d be given one. No one ever followed up. Ultimately, I waited for over two hours. When my vehicle was finally ready, I had to search for it myself—the front desk staff simply said it was “either parked in the front or the side,” offering no further help. To make matters worse, the oil change sticker was not updated with the new mileage or date. This is not an isolated incident. Every time I visit, your staff are unable to locate my Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan, causing unnecessary delays and confusion. It is extremely frustrating to have to repeat myself at every visit. Adding to this, your waiting area is poorly equipped—there is no water, no water fountain, no charging outlets, and a vending machine that took my money without dispensing the product. I was left waiting for hours with two young children, without basic amenities or any sense that my time or comfort mattered. At this point, I have lost trust in your ability to provide professional, respectful service. Therefore, I am formally requesting to be reimbursed for my Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan so that I can get my oil changes performed at a service center that values its customers and their time—especially those of us juggling parental responsibilities. I am also requesting: Reimbursement for the failed vending machine transaction. A formal apology and acknowledgment of these repeated issues. Immediate steps to correct the handling of maintenance plans in your system. A review of customer service practices and waiting area conditions. They did make me aware of some service that I need to do but the cost was way over priced. For example they took the time to show me that my cabin air filter needed replacement at the cost of $59.95, this is a $20 item. They should be more fair and not overcharge.

I made an appointment for 11:30 AM and I arrived 15 minutes early. My car was not moved to the service area until 12:30 PM. I did not leave your facility until 1:45 PM. It took two hours and 15 minutes for an inspection,oil, change and tire rotation, and replacing an air filter. I asked for the windshield wiper on the back of my equinox to be replaced, but your service department did not have any in stock. I was told that I needed new tires, which apparently I do need but my car only has less than 36,000 miles on them and they are Michelins. I would’ve expected them to last 45,000 miles. Anyway, when I ask the service guy if they would rotate the tires for free if I purchased them from Randy Marion, I was told no. Then another service person said yes. The front desk people are not very impressive with their knowledge or their friendliness. I don’t know if I will come back to Randy Marion for an oil change and new tires because I think two hours and 15 minutes is way too long for the services I received.

What should’ve been a 1 hr quick oil change and fix of a tire sensor at the “quick” lube express became a 3 1/2 hr ordeal because the tech stripped 2 lug nuts of a tire and they had to get replacements from the main dealership. We had to ask multiple times for updates instead of being informed what the issue was. This is not the first negative experience. The customer service and quality of work is giving Randy Marion a bad reputation!

When I brought my vehicle in for a diagnosis on 8/29 at 10am (for which I had to take off work) it was communicated that my appointment, which I scheduled and confirmed by phone on 8/27, was never put into the system. Once the appointment was created in the spot, I was told there was a high likelihood my car could not even been see until 9/2 despite an appointment slot being completely open and now reserved by me. At close of business on 9/29 I was called and informed that diagnosis ($240 fee) had been completed, the only found issue was that the engine oil cooler lines were cracked, but that the part was in stock and could be repaired. I agreed to the repairs. On 9/3 repairs had been completed and re-inspected for verification, I arrived at the dealership, payed $1,685.80, and left in my car at 4:40pm. 30 minutes down the road the smoke was billowing from the hood of my car. I pulled off, popped the hood and found the engine smoking around the oil cap. I got under my car and found the oil leaking worse than when it was taken in. I called and was forwarded to the voicemail of a manager where I left a message explaining the issue had not been resolved and my disappointment in the service team for not completing a nearly $1,700 job. On 9/4, a service agent (Van Waters), not a manger, called me and asked me to bring the car back in. The car was towed back to the dealership. Later that same afternoon, the service agent (Van Waters) called back and claimed the brand new tubes that were installed were cracked and that the issue was missed upon re-inspection, but that the service team was working to correct the issue. On 9/5, I was again informed the vehicle repairs were complete and that the car could be picked up. When I arrived that afternoon around 4:20 to retrieve the car, the same service agent (Van Waters) then told me that the new part wasn’t cracked but that the transmission tube was cracked by a maintenance worker during the first repair and not fixed. This issue being caused by a team member caused deep concern and I requested to talk to a manager. Rather than having me meet with a manager, whom I could see through their office widows to not be on a phone or with a customer, I was told the manager was too occupied and I could meet with a floor supervisor. I talked the supervisor through the now week-long ordeal explaining that a) if it was a part their team cracked I should be reimbursed for some labor costs, b) if the new tubes were cracked, it should have been caught upon re-inspection and I was owed compensation from the labor costs for it not being caught, and c) if it was an issue that existed from the start then I was owed the $240 diagnose fee back since the issue was not diagnosed. I also informed the supervisor that due to my car being in the shop, family members had to take off work and add miles to their vehicles the take me to work so I could afford the nearly $1700 in initial repairs. The floor supervisor ensured he would share this information with a manager and I was told, and agreed, that I would be contacted by phone call. On 9/6, I was not contacted by phone but rather received a generic email from Service Lane Manager Mike McAndrew (Randy Marion Chevrolet of Mooresville) starting the following: “After carefully reviewing your situation with all parties involved, we believe that the appropriate actions were taken in covering the tow bill and subsequent repairs as the at-fault component was in the general area of previous repair though not directly related, but do not feel that additional compensation is required at this time.” However, this so-called manager never once contacted me to confirm the details of the events and his claim that the issue being “in the general area of previous repair though not directly related” does not match what I was over the phone of in person by service agent Van Waters. Initially, I would have felt aptly compensated if the $240 diagnostic fee was returned. However, due to this now week-long ordeal, I feel I am owed much more for my time, time off of work, service team not catching issues, and being told on 3 separate days that the new issue was something different each time.

I really don't know where to start. I made an appt a week in advance for 10/3 at 8am. I arrived at the dealership on time to drop off the Tahoe for oil/tire rotation, windshield resevoir check, and GPS evaluation. I needed a shuttle but was told there was no ETA on when a shuttle would be available. Had to get my wife to pick me up.....no big deal. I also communicated I needed to pick up the vehicle by 1pm. At 1pm, I had no update so I called dealership. I was told NOTHING had been done on the vehicle but I could come pick it up. So I had to reschule for 10/8 to bring the vehicle back to the dealership. I would have expected a significant discount on the service given the inconvenience but was only offered a complimentary car wash at a local establishment that is really not convenient for me based on where I live. As you can imagine, I was very frustrated with the entire experience.

The short version, I will never do ANY business with any Randy Marion Dealerships/Service again! PERIOD! After spending almost $1000, to fix ongoing issues with shaking in the steering wheel and the steering wheel pulsing back and forth when turning the steering wheel, these issues were still not fixed. I was told that I would have to spend another roughly $1700 to replace a rim, that may or may not actually fix the problem. The assistant service manager Michael couldn't guarantee this would actually fix the issues. I was told, "yes the steering wheel probably shouldn't do that, but it isn't really that bad, and it is probably the road causing the shake." I repeatedly suggested that the power steering rack was the real issue, but I was told the Technician couldn't replicate the issues, there fore they couldn't do anything about these issues under my extended warranty. Never mind Randy Marion Service replaced the torque converter two years prior for the exact same issues. I'm not really sure what a torque converter has anything to do with the steering wheel, but whatever! I offered to show and replicate these issues that I was experiencing to the Technician and/or Shop Foreman. I was told they are too busy. I hope Randy Marion enjoys my $1000, it will be the last money they will ever get out of me. Thanks for nothing!

I scheduled an oil change, tire rotation and NC Inspection. When I went online to renew my NC tags, I found that the NC Inspection wasn't completed. I was off work when I scheduled this and now I have to re-arrange my work schedule to take my vehicle back to get this completed. Also, when I got the truck home, it looked like someone went mudding with it between the time I handed it off to them and when they turned it back over to me. Very disappointed with the outcome on a basic service appointment.

Oil change was done in a timely manner. Appears to be good workmanship. Only disappointment was I had a 50% off coupon. I called the dealership beforehand to see what it would cost and ask if I could use my 50% coupon and I was told yes. When I got to the dealership, I was told to 50% coupon would not be off of the $89 oil change but offer $139 oil change. I talked to the service manager and was able to get the oil change for $50. Had I not asked to speak to the service manager I would’ve overpaid in my opinion.

Purchased new 4 tires for a Silverado 1500, process was very good, however upon pickup after the work was completed, all 4 wheels were covered in a white / sticky residue (tech didn’t attempt to wipe/clean them off) and after I cleaned them I noticed a 2-3 inch scratch on 1 of the wheels that wasn’t there previously.

Never have I received the level of competence and personal courtesy shown by Steve at Randy Marion Chevrolet in Mooresville, NC. If there was a class to teach service advisors how to interact with and treat/listen to customers Steve should be the dean of the school.

We had a free service which expired on the 28th of December. We came in on the 2nd of January. So had to pay. Thought that was a little cheap. We asked about a cover for the back of the truck and were told to go up the hill to accessories. Thought they could have been a little more helpful and called accessories or something.

I took my new truck in for the first complementary service, which I understood to include oil/filter change, tire rotation, and DEF fill up to 4 gallons. When I checked in, I was told the DEF was not included and would be an additional cost. Assuming the dealer employee knew what was included I just refused the DEF. When I got home, I found the paperwork that came with the vehicle that did state DEF was included in the first service offer from GM. I was also disappointed that it took over an hour for an oil change. I'm not sure I will be able to continue to use this service center.
